Colonel Sean Sullivan is the Commander of the 142d Operations Group, Portland Air National Guard Base, Oregon. As Commander, he leads over 375 personnel in the execution of the F-15 Aerospace Control Alert mission defending the Pacific Northwest, worldwide deployments supporting national objectives, and domestic operations as directed by the Governor.

Colonel Sullivan graduated from Oregon State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering and was commissioned through the Ari Force Reserve Officer Training Corps. He attended Joint Specialized Undergraduate Pilot Training at Laughlin AFB, TX and stayed there for his first flying assignment as a T-37 Instructor Pilot. He received his initial F-15 qualification at Tyndall AFB, FL and flew F-15s operationally at Elmendorf AFB, AK and Kadena AB, Japan. He transitioned to the Oregon Air National Guard in 2008 as a member of the 173d FW at Kingsley Field, OR and moved to the 142d FW in Portland in 2012. He is a Command Pilot with over 2,900 flight hours in the T-37B, T-38C and F-15 A/B/C/D. During his career, he has served as Chief of Academics, Chief of Scheduling, Flight Commander, Assistant Director of Operations, Instructor Pilot and Evaluator Pilot. Prior to assuming his current position, Colonel Sullivan served as the Squadron Director of Operations, Wing Inspector General, and Fighter Squadron Commander.
