Helicopter Transport Services (HTS)

Mark Pilon, the General Manager and part-owner of Helicopter Transport Services (HTS) will be our speaker on January the 4th.  Special thanks to Bruce Bennet for reaching out and sponsoring Mark for this exciting evening.

His family-owned company was founded in 1993 and has grown to one of the biggest in the world. They purchased 17 acres off the SE corner of the Aurora Airport and moved their headquarters here a few years ago after having club-member Severson Construction build a 200,000 sq/ft (approx) $34,000,000 hangar. Mark will have a photo presentation and discuss their world-wide operations.

Background

Helicopter Transport Services began operations in Baltimore, Maryland in 1993, specializing in charter, law enforcement and electronic news gathering services.  Their success in these sectors in large markets such as Chicago, Philadelphia and Washington D.C., led to active growth.

In 1999, Helicopter Transport Services established its Heavy Lift Division in Corvallis, Oregon, which today features a diverse fleet consisting of Sikorsky CH-54A and S-64E Skycranes, CH-54B Skycranes, CH-53Ds, S-61Ns, and S-58Ts, and Bell 214STs (Super Transport). Helicopter Transport Services Heavy Lift Division’s services include aerial fire suppression, aerial services and support to the petroleum industry, aerial construction and various heavy lift operations.

Altogether, Helicopter Transport Services maintains one of the most effective and well-equipped helicopter operations in the industry, capable of flying nearly any mission, anywhere, at any time. Whatever your helicopter requirements, give us a call and see how our people and equipment can make the difference
