Learn about common autumn and winter weather patterns for our area, including fog and ice. We’ll show how to use satellite, radar and a few web tools to help fill the weather gaps so that you can make a well-informed go-no go flight decision. Clinton Rockey is a meteorologist from the National Weather Service forecast office in Portland, Oregon.  He grew up and lived in Kansas (25 years), Wyoming and Arizona, experiencing all kinds of weather. After graduation from the University of Kansas, he moved to Boston. After a short four-year stint in Boston, he relocated to Eugene, Oregon, to start his forecasting career with the National Weather Service as a weather observer and forecaster.  Since 1995, he has been with the forecast office in Portland.  He got his private pilot’s license in 1997.
