Distance: KUAO to Hawai’i, 2562 statute miles (2229 nm); Hawai’i to Samoa, 2583 sm.( 2244 nm); Tecnam Traveller cruise 194 kts, 11.4 hrs to Hawai’i and another 11.5 hrs to Samoa. (no wind)

Tim Austen and his partner, CAA Member Pat McNamee, are starting an inter island shuttle service between the Hawai'i and Samoan Islands. The airplanes are new Italian Tecnam Travellers, newly certified eleven passenger twins. Their fleet (four so far, many more to come) of these are stopping at Aurora for ferry tanks to be installed on the flight from Italy while enroute to Samoa. Tim is a very experienced aviation mechanic as well as former cargo and air show pilot, who recently retired from SW Airlines.
