Speaker: Ron Runyan, CAA Member
Ron will relay his first-hand account of the daring night mountain helicopter rescue that saved his sister-in-law's life. His account will include:
- "Accident" chain of events and decisions
- Acute hypoxia: prediction, detection, and dangers (including mental)
- The importance of high-quality emergency communication
- The world-class equipment and teams that operate in the Rocky Mountains
Ron Runyan is a second-generation CAA member, trained by Stan Swan, and now living in Denver CO. He currently flies a Cessna 182 out of Rocky Mountain Metro Airport as a member of Ten-Hi Flyers flying club. He is a graduate of the Colorado Pilots Association Mountain Flying Course.
