Join us this Thursday at Columbia Aviation Association for a special presentation by Tim Talen, an award-winning restorer of antique aircraft and a dedicated historian of Oregon aviation and president of the Oregon Aviation Historical Society and Museum.

Tim’s historically accurate restorations have been recognized by the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) and the National Aviation Heritage Invitational, with his work frequently featured on the covers of Vintage Airplane and Sport Aviation magazines. As the founder of the Oregon Antique & Classic Aircraft Club and the Oregon Aviation Historical Society, Tim continues to play a vital role in preserving and sharing Oregon’s rich aviation history.

With an extraordinary ability to identify antique aircraft parts at a glance, Tim is a true expert in vintage aviation. His efforts led to the successful rebirth of the Oregon Air Tours of the 1930s, and in recognition of his contributions, he was inducted into the Oregon Aviation Hall of Fame (2010) and the Vintage Aircraft Association’s Hall of Fame (2014)—only the 30th person nationwide to receive this honor.

Through his ongoing restoration work and the expansion of the Oregon Aviation Historical Society’s archives, Tim remains dedicated to ensuring that Oregon’s aviation legacy is preserved for future generations.
