About this event
The Oregon Pilots Association: Relevance, Coexistence, and Modernization
Join us as we welcome Steve Bateman, newly elected President of the Oregon Pilots Association (OPA), for an inside look at OPA’s future direction. Steve will share how the new board of directors is tackling challenges faced by all volunteer membership organizations, and why the OPA Chapter structure is vital for sustainability and growth. He will also highlight how collaboration with aviation groups like CAA is key to moving OPA forward.
Steve Bateman, CFI, LSRM, Ph.D., is President of OPA and owner of Chocks Away Aviation, LLC, based at Prineville Airport (S39). He is also a FAASTeam lead representative, WINGSPro, and active member of EAA Chapter 617. Steve owns a 1981 A152 Aerobat and a nearly completed RV-12.
