Terry Tsubota: Surviving VFR into IMC
About this event
Speaker: Terry Tsubota, ATP, Gold Seal CFI/CFII/MEI
Flying VFR into instrument conditions is one of the deadliest mistakes a pilot can make, with a lethality rate near 90%. As we head into another season of challenging weather, Terry Tsubota will share practical strategies to help you recognize and avoid deteriorating conditions, as well as proven techniques to escape IMC if you inadvertently enter it.
Terry has been flying since 1990 and currently flies the Boeing 777 for a major airline. He holds an ATP certificate and Gold Seal CFI/CFII/MEI ratings, and teaches Private Pilot Ground School at Willamette Aviation to give back to the community where he learned to fly.
