Appointed in August 2024, Laney brings extensive experience in nonprofit leadership and community engagement. Before stepping into his current role, he served on the museum’s Board of Directors, offering strategic guidance and support.
Under his leadership, the museum has introduced several enhancements to enrich the visitor experience, including improved signage, new exhibits like the Bell UH-1F/P “Huey” helicopter from the Vietnam War, and the successful re-listing of the Hughes H-4 Hercules (“Spruce Goose”) on the National Register of Historic Places.
